Every family has a rich background in folk lore, along with stories down through the ages.  All tales, no matter how wild, start out from truth.  The story that evolves, many times, is so far from the truth it's unrecognizable, but there is that speck of truth somewhere.  Such as the story of being descended from the "Lloyds of London".  Yes, we're descended from a Lloyd of London, but not the Lloyds of London.  Sometimes we just have to root around for the speck of truth.

We would like to hear everyone's stories, even if you're not sure they are valid.  Maybe rooting around together, we can find the origin of the tale and get the real story.  We also want any newspaper articles, obituaries, marriage/engagement announcements, etc. to add to our stories page.  Send them to stories@martinboydfamily.com
